I've always loved growing things.
Some people love the creative side of marketing. Others love the numbers. I've always been fascinated by the business behind it all. What makes it successful, where there's room to grow, and what that growth can mean for the people behind it.
That's what drew me to marketing in the first place. The opportunity to combine creativity, problem-solving, and a love for business into work that can make a real difference.
A little curiosity turned into a career.
I took the question, “what do you want to be when you grow up?” very seriously. I knew I wanted to understand how businesses worked and what made them grow. No one in my family was in business, so I had nothing to go off of.
I spent nine years working at a local ice cream shop, where I probably asked the owner more questions about running the business than he ever expected. In college, I started reaching out to other business owners to hear their stories, understand the decisions they'd made, and learn about the unexpected paths that got them where they were.
Those conversations eventually led me to marketing, where I could combine my curiosity about business with the opportunity to help companies grow.
Years and hundreds of client accounts later, I'm still asking questions. I've just gotten a lot better at knowing which ones to ask.
Doing good work with good people.
After years in the agency world, I wanted to build something that gave me more freedom to work the way I believe works best.
For me, that means getting to know my clients, understanding their businesses, and having the flexibility to focus on what will actually make a difference. It means honest conversations, thoughtful recommendations, and relationships built on trust and mutual respect.
I want to work with people who care about their businesses, are open to new ideas, and enjoy collaborating along the way.
I take the work seriously, but I don't think we need to take ourselves too seriously. I believe we can have fun, challenge each other, and still get great work done.
The people make it worth it.
One of my favorite parts of my career has been getting to know the people behind the businesses I work with. I love hearing their stories, learning what they're working toward, and understanding what success looks like to them.
Because when a business grows, that growth can mean so much more than improved numbers on a report. It can create opportunities for employees, support families, and make a difference in the communities around it. That's the kind of impact I love being part of.
Some of my favorite client relationships have been the ones where we can have honest conversations, bounce ideas around, laugh a little, and still get great work done. To me, that's what a good partnership should feel like.
Always growing. Even off the clock.
I'm usually drinking coffee, working in the garden, or dreaming up my next garden project. Some interests just seem to follow you everywhere.
